As a new member here at M4carbine.net I want to introduce myself and show a few pics of my 1911.
In short…
I’m just a firearms enthusiast/shooter who appreciates good design. I spent my teen years working at a trap/skeet/pistol range/gunstore and has been addicted to firearms ever since. I’ve never been hunting or to war, though I recognize the need for both. Shooting is more of a sport to me. I’ve been a member at 1911forum.com for a few years now, after I fell in love with the 1911 and John Browning firearms. In one years time after purchasing a Kimber and really educating myself at 1911forum.com, I had learned to reload .45 ACP and sold my Kimber SIS to buy a Les Baer TRS.
Lately, I’ve been intrigued by these dang “Black Rifles” and will be purchasing one very soon. :dance3:
Until then…
This forum seems like a great place to learn and ask questions about AR platform. I hope to become familiar with the ins and out of this particular design.
Nice Baer man, I’m salivating right now. Welcome to the forum. I also migrated over here from 1911f. You made a good choice, this forum is full of a wealth of knowledge.
I have been shooting long guns the majority of my life. I didnt get into pistols until i joined the Marine Corps. I spent four years as a Machine gunner. I got a good deal on a Kimber cdp II. It was then i fell in-love with the platform. I have sence sold my beloved kimber and replaced her with two colts.
My rail gun is pretty much stock, my other govt started life as a GI issue replica and has several up grades from new grip safety to all internal components. 10-8 sights are on the list…
Yup. I’ve learned a lot from the folks over at 1911Forum too. If you listen to some of the folks on this forum, you probably won’t save any money in the long run but you will have waaaaay nicer weaponry to show for it.
Yeah my rail gun shoots great. The little added weight helps with recoil. Not a huge fan of the three dots but the rest is great. Im not sure for future plans, my other colt has me spoiled with ed brown parts. The one thing i know im changing is the finish not sure what to , od green and black go good together. silver / gloss is not for me
