Hedging your bets.

I’m not so confident that the Republicans can win in November. So I have started thinking about changing my firearms inventory. I’m thinking of selling some of my non-black guns and buying other bad stuff. I have a couple of AR-15 and an AR-10. I was thinking of more highcap mags and one more “bad gun”. I have always wanted a PS-90 or an UZI. I’m not looking for something practical, but just neat and different.

So what are you guys doing? Buying more, same, are not worried about it?

I already have 15 stripped lowers. I’m torn between buying a couple more or building the ones I have.

My main priority is adding to my collection of magazines.

If I do buy more guns this year they will likely all be AKs.

I’m not selling, But I’m buying a few more. If there is a ban I have them, If not I have them.

I’m not worried about it. I didn’t have any problems skirting the last pathetic ban. I have a stubborn streak. If something is banned, then and only then do I need to have it.

I must say I don’t get “worried” about this kind of thing. I think a Democrat President in '08 doesn’t automatically = 2nd Amendment Apocalypse…

Same as always. Each trip to the gunshop brings home a small widget of some type, to help them keep the lights on…a box of ammo, a magazine, etc. Lowers, used guns, other bargains are acquired where found as budgets allow. Internet classifieds produce bargains occasionally too.

Well considering the Democrat controlled Congress approval ratings are as low as can be. I dont see any problems they would be screwing themselves hard if they did anything with the 2nd amendment.

I have one eye on POTUS and one eye on SCOTUS.

As I see it (and assuming status quo in Congress), with a Second Amendment-friendly President and Heller going our way, a new day begins to dawn.

With a Second Amendment-friendly President and Heller going against us, we’re pretty much where we are now, albeit with more vigilance and activism required below the federal level. :frowning:

With a gun-grabber in the White House and Heller going our way, I suspect we’ll see a “sin tax” on everything from guns to ammo to trigger springs to RemOil.

With a gun-grabber in the White House and Heller going against us, eventually we’re screwed. Μολὼν λαβέ.

Better to have it and not need it…

I expect higher taxes on firearms and ammunition, just like has been done with cigarrettes. Plan accordingly.

Health care costs will be at least part of the justification, although it will be completely phoney justification.

I’ve had two of AK in the past and did not care for them.

If an anti gun like Obama wins then Congress will fill embolden (you know the “ we have a mandate crap”) and I have no doubt that they are perfectly capable of screwing themselves.

If Hillary wins then it is less likely she will push the issue. She remembers what happened in 93.

I’m less concerned about weather they pass something are not then the panic buying that will happen if it looks like there wining.

Not to be naive, but I tend to agree. I think there are a lot of things that there are many laws on the books that will probably stay there regardless of the administration. For the Dem’s, it’s Roe versus Wade, for us, it’s the second amendment.

Why? Because these are both constitutional issues that take a lot more than a President to over turn, like the Supreme Court who has clearly backed down on these types of issues time and again.

This being said, we can’t ignore history like the Assault Weapons Ban, either from a Federal or State platform. Therefore, I think that minimally you should procure the “Building Blocks” for future toys, or buy whatever “You” think you might not be able to get in the future. For me, it’s additional lowers, LPK’s, and and collapsible stocks. I have an MRP so I think I will always be able to get barrels, bolts, and BCG’s…but that’s just my $.02 worth.

Finally, I think that we will have a very tough time getting any Rep. into office in November.

You read my plan.

I’m getting a few more stripped lowers. And lots more ammo. Maybe a few new mags too. Just in case.

I think, if nothing else, the talk of a Democratic Party White House is apt to push some fokes off the fence who are thinking about making a (another) Evil Black Rifle" purchase.

As for me? I just ordered another 6920LE. No, it’s not the impending Dem While House… it’s the BRD!

Call me a pessimist, but I’m none too confident that we’ll be much better off with the GOP alternatives.

Just did a small parts order with Grant.
I added (10) Pmags to my order…I seem to do that alot.
Needed 1000 rounds of 9mm last month.
I added a case of 5.56 Privi to the order…I seem to do that alot too.
It hurts to buy all the stuff I need all at once, but little by little works for me.
Mags and Ammo…You can’t have enough of either if the wrong one is elected.
As for “Black Rifles” you can’t have enough of those even if the right one is elected.

I have to admit with the up coming elections, and possible bans taking place, I have been ording extra mags.
Also guns too. Already joined the DARK SIDE possibly before it’s was to late and am in the market for some high cap pistols.

Either way…it’s just a damn good excuse to buy more weapons, Pmags and AK mags

I get much more pleasure by getting these items surreptitiously when they are already banned. Getting something is no fun if you’re allowed to have it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Stripped lowers won’t do you much good.
In the case of another ban, you would have to prove that they were fully assembled prior to the enactment.
