Heavy Duty Belts

I need some help finding a heavy duty web belt for a that has a super strong buckle. I am a big guy so it needs to be at least 56’’ long or a little longer and may be 1 1/2" wide.

What is the belt for?

For every need I have the Tactical Tailor Riggers Belt fits the bill nicley. But the longest they make is a 55".

I second the Tactical Tailor reference, also check HSGI, I bought their riggers belt for my dad for his birthday and its a quality belt, you can order it without the d ring as well. Also kary from edcforums makes great belts and can customize one for you, he made mine and its as high quality as HSGI and Tactical Tailor.

If you want leather, Beltman is who you want.

Check out http://www.jonestactical.com/ he makes a couple of belts that should meet your needs. He’ll make them custom to size, but be prepared to wait since it’s a one man shop and quality construction.

You may want to consider one with a Cobra buckle.

Have you looked at Wilderness Tactical?

For leather, Beltman and CompTac make great belts.

Given you want a very strong buckle, I’d go with Ares, Jones Tactical, or Endeavor Stitchworks. They all make very nice belts - each putting their own twist on the cobra belts.

If you go with a 1.75" cobra buckle, I believe they are something like 10k lbs. rated. The double layer MilSpec webbing is also capable of extreme loads. You could probably tow a car in a pinch with one of these belt/buckle combos.

If your willing to wait and pay a bit of a premium, contact Jake @ Ares Gear regarding your belt needs. He has done some custom work in the past. Tell him Matt sent you.

You know what irks me more?

Not so much when somebody doesn’t use the Search function…

…and since I brought it that up, holy shitsnacks, take a gander at how many belt threads there are on the first page, alone…: https://www.m4carbine.net/gtsearch.php?cx=003496919632624929056%3Adhiwgm0hbaa&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=belts&sa=Search&siteurl=www.m4carbine.net%2Fforumdisplay.php%3Ff%3D14#1084

…but that so many of those who have been around long enough to (supposedly!) know better are letting them get away with it and enabling them by answering without showing them either the Search functions or the forum rules.
