The bottom has dropped out of the market. Now is the time to buy and I’ll probably do so soon.
Seems like everyone ordered all they could but the economy is taking its toll. So many bought last year and early this year there are not as many customers. Lower end guns are not moving from what I can tell. The good stuff is still selling.
now If I could find ammo…
in stock at your favorite internet dealer…
ammoman, ammunitiontogo and wideners all have plenty, just to name three
Every dealer around here has ammo, and they list many many cases on gun broker every week. The prices they are at now seems to have stabilized, they were dropping prices every week.
The demand was so high a year ago that manufacturers cranked up production to try and keep up. What we are seeing now is a result of all that production, but a lagging demand. Eventually the dems will try another attack on the 2nd amendment and when that happens, demand will go up again.
I will also agree that the economy has had its affect on this also.
I stocked up last year before the madness of the elections ran everything through the roof. The prices still haven’t come down far enough in my opinion but I think they will soon and when they do I’ll stock up again ![]()
Agreed. I did the same thing. Which is dangerous in my possession, I’ve had a tendency to shoot MORE! I have been getting fliers on ammo sales on a weekly basis. I’m glad 762x39 has fallen back to reasonable prices, but not far enough. I am back to a set shooting schedule and will be buy up more as the deals present themselves.
Are you all seeing the Federal .22 in stock again? The 2 walmarts near me are still always sold out.
They probably will , but it wont be for a while. There too caught up in other things at the moment.
My Wal-Marts have some. They don’t have much of anything else though.
Prices are good. Bought a new Stag Model 1 carbine last week for $799.
Some of the vendors at the gun show I went to this past weekend had pretty good good prices…some were still priced as things were 6+ months ago.
Still waiting for ammo to come down, too. Another $100 per K would suit me just fine…![]()
Just bought 6-550 packs from wally world ![]()
The ammo case at my Walmart is always mostly empty, they might have 10 boxes of ammo and that includes all rifle and pistol ammo.
At the gun show at Reliant Arena in Houston two weekends ago there were several vendors who had stacks of 6920s. The lowest price was $1050.
I don’t know if anyone noticed, but the EE here is now full of good stuff at awesome prices.
+1 (and my WASR 22 & 10/22 International are very hungry) But anyhoo are lowers gonna drop to $75.00 + tax & dros (Not group buy price)
I think I saw a case of M855 milspec ammo listed here in the member sales area. ![]()
A few buddies and I were discussing the sudden rise in AR sales at work back at the beginnin of the year. One thing that was mentioned was that there are/were all these ARs out there that were picked up with the expectation that the government was going to ban them within the week, and once people figured it wasn’t gonna happen, at least for a while, and see that they’re sittin on a $1000+ credit card bill, we were gonna see a whole bunch of used ones commin right back.
In my area the Fed 22 and the Fed 223 value packs have been back for about the last two weeks.
Prior to that, they floated in and out, but sold out within 12 hours.
I need another Ar like a hole in the head, but it’s tempting at the current pricing.
Smith & Wesson is offering 5 free PMAGS if you purchase one of their AR’s.
All it would take is another attempt by the Democrats to ban something, and you would see another spike in sales.
As far as ammo, it looks to me like prices have definitely stabilized and maybe dropped a bit from a few months ago. I was at the Forks of the Delaware show in Allentown, PA this weekend and one table had Wolf 7.62x39 for $225 for 1k. That’s way better than the usual price of about $300 on gunbroker and still better than the best price I saw on gunbroker a month ago or so which was $279 plus $20 for shipping.
As far as ARs, I saw an LE6920 for like $1,250 at the same show.
