free float tube?
It looks a lot like the JP/VTAC hand guards.
I was wondering if it attached like a standard free float tube,
or the red locktite JP attachment way.

I do not have any experience with Nordic but they are used heavily in 3 gun. You may be better served over at brianenos.com to get a better answer.
I had one come on my NC22 upper.
It does not use a “normal” barrel nut, but instead one that has threads on the outside diameter. You can use a standard barrel nut wrench to manipulate it though.
Once the barrel nut is secure you thread on a “locking ring” all the way to the receiver, and then screw on the hand guard. You’ll have to eyeball the handguard alignment if you plan on attaching any type of aiming device.
If you look at the pic on their website you can see all three parts: the handguard, and the barrel nut with the locking ring already threaded on it.
For what its worth, I hated the handguard and replaced it with an Apex model, which uses a standard barrel nut. However, the folks at Nordic have great CS and will answer any questions you have. When I called their tech support regarding a different issue the guy that answered the phone was the guy who assembled my NC22 upper. They also return emails within an hour or two, in my experience.
