This thread kind of went off topic. I wasn’t asking about the lower receiver; I wasn’t asking about reviews of it, how you liked or what you think about it. I just wanted to know if anyone used a MOE grip on it and how it fit.

Thanks for the reply’s of people answering my original question. I made my decision on the MOE grip, just like I did on the LW 15; for good or bad. If I use this lower as much as I used my last AR 15, 100 rounds in a year, I think this will last for years. Maybe longer if I decide to go the .22 route.

Threw one on a buddy’s rifle and had no issues whatsoever. I’d be surprised if you said you were having issues with it.

Okay, now I understand. Just remember most posters replying to your original post probably assumed you were like most members here. That means hitting multiple training classes per year and the range multiple times per month. Under these conditions, a sub-par lower has a higher probability of fucking up some way, some how.

With your intended usage, the lower should be fine.

I have a complete NFA lower and a stripped lower on the way to prove a point to a member at another site. I just can’t believe that they are at all comparable to a forged lower in terms of quality and durability. I am interested in running rounds through one, I am not convinced of the “torture tests” I have heard about. I guess we will see.

I would love to see some one mortaring and stuck round/casing out with one of these lowers. I have a very good feeling the receiver will snap before the round comes out.

I have bought a stripped NFA lower for a dedicated .22 LR build. I like it for that purpose. I wasn’t concerned about saving a few bucks as much as I was saving a couple ounces. Got a couple thousand rounds through that 3lb 5oz little rifle and love it.

I’ve thought about buying one to attach a centerfire upper to just to see if I could break it.

Yes, wasn’t a typo. :smiley: Red dot adds 5oz to make it 3lb 10oz. My gf complained that all my guns were heavy for her so I put that one together. She LOVES it.
