I purchased a new Gunfighter Charging Handle this weekend and didn’t even notice that the handle was redesigned! It appears to be more gas busting friendly.

How so is it different?
The cuts in the T portion of the handle.
How is it more “gas busting”?
The handle ends up higher than the end of the upper receiver causing the gas to blow upward instead of straight back. More prevalent when shooting suppressed.
Did you order it from BCM, or pick it up locally?
Does any know, if you order from BCM, will you will receive the previous generation or the new version?
My friend is a Vltor distributor. I can only assume this is a new batch. Maybe Paul or Grant can chime in on the specifics.

I can’t find the thread, but the redesign of the BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle was mentioned about a month or so ago.
I hit the yellow search button before posting and couldn’t find anything either.
What puzzled me about this particular handle was that it was not in the usual package with accompanying sticker. It may have been a display and I was hoping it wasn’t a copy.

I have a couple older versions and noticed the difference on the one i got this week immediately. I took it to the range yesterday and was bustin gas like crazy.
Having never had the opportunity to try a GF CH, I have always wondered what size is the one to go with??? I always hated the old badger ordnance latch, as it would snag clothing like crazy with weapon hanging on chest. So I absolutely hate when a ch latch snags. With that said, what’s the most common size guys are using???
It’s really a preference thing but most common I see used are mod 4 which is the med latch but you might want to small latch instead it’s about the same as a regular charging handle but with the redesign of the gunfighter

Looks like a mod4 to me. I have a mod 3 and its fairly larger than the one pictured above
Wish they’re redesign the 7.62 AR model to be compatible with my Sig 716.
