Has an AR180b ever been used in a high round count carbine class?

If so, how did it perform?

Any reports out there of one being used?

If I remember correctly, their was a guy running one in my EAG class Dec 07. He was pretty damn good with it and I don’t recall any failures of any kind.

Aside from the plastic lower on AR180b, Stoner’s AR18 system works great. It’s also basis for Singapore 88 rifle, a very solid design.

I like how the ar18’s carrier rides on the guide rods and not on receiver rails. Practically makes the carrier free floating with alot of space around it.

Dunno if my opinion is worth anything … but I think the AR-18/180 (not ~B) is a great weapon. Reliable and durable. Sure not cheap, though.
