Yup, they’re ugly but they still run.

You would never know that. 
I’ve used the same 3 issued G22 mags for 7yrs of training and duty. I only have around 20K through them though. Recently one started to induce double feeds, I think the feed lips got damaged by being stepped on, so I replaced it with an unkown origin G22 mag that somehow found it’s way into my range bag, it works great too.
I just laugh when I read all the 1911 mag threads that have been on here lately.

Something just doesn’t look right about that. A Garand just needs a 1911 to go along with it! 
It was in-part the qualities of the mags that put me back onto using my G19 full-time.
