Hand guard for 300BLK pistol upper

I am building my first AR pistol and, going to chamber it in 300BLK. I would like to use a standard A2 front sight post and use either magpul or B5 plastic hand guards but they do not come short enough to fit a pistol gas system and, can’t seem to find a sub 16" barrel with a carbine gas system dose any one have any ideas that could help me move forward?

I would like to use this bison Armory barrel in the build to support a in state small business and its a great price.

There are a few 14.5 carbine gassed barrels out there. Rainier Arms is the first one that comes to mind.

Ive only ever seen one or two pistol length hand guards that would allow the use of an FSB, but if I remember correctly the companies that made them were about the last people I would ever buy a rail from.

What is it about the FSB that makes you want one? If its because its pinned you can pin anything. IF you want the look of the FSB sight, there are a few companies making fixed front sights for rails that look alot like an FSB sight tower does. Daniel Defense has a pretty nice looking option.

Price and the ability to have a front sight. I know I can get a simple free float tube but the ones in my budget don’t have a method to affix a front sight and most are too long to use a railed gas block. I could pay a little more and get a Troy or Rainer or any number of other hand guard with a 1913 rail on top but I want to stay around $300 on the upper( I have a spare BCG so I’m not including that in the cost).

Im seeing stuff like this:

I wont comment on the quality of any of those though.

This guy on this youtube video appears to have gotten an MOE carbine to fit on a short barrel. I didnt watch the video to see how its done.

Thanks for the links, I may be interested in that plasic handguard. I’ve seen the rest on them and the issue I have with them is if I’m going to run iron sights that would require drilling and taping the hand guard to mout a 1913 rail section or cutting a slot in the rail to fit an A2 front sight post.

However I think I found a solution that’s in my price range.

Not sure I am following you. All of those I posted are 4" hand guards. Your FSB would be mounted on the barrel PAST the end of the handguard. No need to cut, drill, tap, etc… anything on the handguard since it is shorter than where the FSB mounts. Unless I am missing something.

My bad. I just glanced at them and thought they were longer. Thanks for the help!
