A local shop has had me on the wait list for several years for H322. They called yesterday to let me know it was back on stock. This may only be a small amount that a few shops have or it could be back in regular production, but I’d keep an eye on your favorite shops if you’ve been waiting.
BOO! I like being the guy with a bunch in the cabinet an everyone else suffering! ![]()
HA! Indeed!
“Go to the ant, though sluggard, consider her ways…”
I’m assuming they want $100 per pound at this point.
Sorry Hodgdon, I switched to VihtaVuori N133 ![]()
Nonsense. A mere $60ish per single pound, like any other sensibly priced powder. I mean, unless you need it shipped…so yeah, $100 a pound ![]()
I never thought VV powders would seem cheap, but here we are…
Word up! I remember not wanting to try VV for fear of becoming addicted. Now, it’s the smart powder to use.
Years ago, I ran N135 in my 223 varmint rifle, then N320 in 9mm loads.
When 8208XBR came out , I found it to be a versatile powder, and was reasonably priced. It is still one of my favorites for smaller rifle cartridges, even 308. I still have a little stash of it that I save for the precision loads, and refuse to pay $60/lb for it.
Recently, I found a guy who was getting out of reloading, and picked up quite a bit of N133 and N540 at a great price. N133 is starting to become a great substitute for 8208XBR. It doesn’t have quite the velocity, but the ES is right there.
