H2 buffer in a 16" carbine

will i have any problems??? Need to sell one of my extra lowers and I can’t find my AR spare parts box (I’m SO PISSED!!!) got misplaced when I moved… Need to put a buffer in it to make it complete… If i replace my H buffer in my carbine with a H2 will it work alright???

should work

I use a H2 in one of my S&W with no problems.

make sure you test your new config with the weakest ammo you are likely to shoot.

Kind of depends on the upper and what kind of ammo you shoot.

Who made it?

You are going to have to try it but I would guess you won’t have any problems. I have a 9mm buffer in one carbine and a H3 in another and shoot Wolf most of the time without any problems. My LWRC midlength came with a H2 buffer. David

upper with a 1 in 9 chrome lined bbl… i’ve upgraded it with a BCM 5 coil extractor spring and blk insert…It will be a little warmer here in ND next week I’ll try to get out and test it… I run Winchester .556 white box or PMC Bronze 55gr ammo

Just put it up in the EE for trade.

My carbine with the 9mm buffer is a Stag model 2 and the heavier buffer works fine. I ran a H2 for a while and then went to a 9mm buffer. Never had a problem. David

I use a ST-T2 buffer from Spikes Tactical and it weighs about what a H2 buffer weighs. My carbine works perfect with it and a M16 BCG.
