i am using an aimpoint h1 right out of the box on top of an m14 vltor cas-v rail system that can only assume is standard picitiny rail. the height is perfect and the h1 goes on great and doesn’t move but the fact that the rail is picatinny and the factory mount that comes on the h1 is weaver is starting to worry me. i haven’t had a chance to hit the range with this set up but from what can tell everything fits nice, even, and tight. the only part i am not so sure on is the crossbolt doesn’t have contact with either side if the rail. there is no rail contact surface in there with the crossbolt…but its locked up tight by the sides.
any one ever take an h1 right out of the box and put it directly on standard picitinny rail using the weaver mount the h1 comes with???
