Stippling work for Glocks seems to be a dime a dozen. I know here on this forum we have some expect gunsmiths that specialize in Polymer Grip Texturing. I don’t see much being done for the H&K’s. Any one have any good pics and references for Grip Texture work on either H&K 45’s or VP9’s? I find the grips on these pistols to be a little slick. Thanks

Go to HKPro and do search on handgun subforum. Several people showed their strippling job on HKs there.

Cagemonkey, Lane Owens of Coldbore Custom works on all makes of polymer. He just completed a P320 Module for me and it looks incredible.

I think you can order the back and side panels of the VP9 grip from HK parts. You could order a set and stipple them yourself, or send them off to be stippled and not have to worry about messing up the only set you have. Just an idea.

Actually, it kind of looks like shit…but I don’t really care and it does what I need it to do. 2500 rounds, no cleaning, no issues / malfunctions yet…

That’s exactly what I did. Purchased a set and then sent them off to Bowie. I asked for a very light texturing. Something to give me good purchase (I find factory too slick) but not so much that it interferes with concealed carry. Greatly improved the way it shoots.

Thats what I’m talking about. I assume you glued the inserts in before stippling etc. Any issue with the HK VP9’s. I heard the plastic is kind of thin in the frontstrap? I’m definitely interested. Thats some top quality looking stuff.

You can glue if you want to, however it isn’t necessary as it’s easier just to blend it in with stippling.

There are areas on the front strap that are thin, just like any other pistol, however I haven’t had any issues as of yet. I do not foresee any structural integrity issues.
