Does any one have any insite to H&K AR’s? A friend of mine just called and said that a co worker of his “won a H&K AR15 in a raffle and wants to sell it for 1G”. Now he lives way to far away for me to go inspect it for him. So, I told him to take some detailed pics of any markings on the rifle and email them to me and I’d take a look and postem up here for y’all to take a look too. Meanwhile, Im going to do some Internet Recon and see what I can digg up. I know jackshit about foreign made ARs. Any random knowledge could help. Hopefully it’s the real deal…ATC
If it’s a HK MR556 it’s not foreign made, the factory is in New Hampshire I believe. Now if it’s a real deal HK 416 then yes it is made in Germany. If he won it at a raffle and was going to sell it, he could definitely sell it for more than a Grand that’s for sure. I hope you get some pics up on here.
If it’s a true HK rifle (the MR556) then it could be sold for a lot more than $1K. I’d buy it and turn around and sell it for a nice profit. Capitalism, baby!
I wouldn’t spend over $2k for a HK rifle. I’m not on the HK kool-aid anymore, but to win one on a raffle would be sweet ![]()
It is highly unlikely. There are full auto 416 rifles out there. You don’t want to fool with that. There are semi auto rifles with 416 uppers. I doubt he got one of those. There are some Euro/Canadian market H&K ARs but they are illegal to import. And they are sphincter tighteningly expensive. Finally, there are some US made HK ARs being manufactured, but they aren’t due until late this year last I heard. All but the LE/Military only models are worth more than 3k.
Probably BS or a mistake.
Just read up on the MR556 on the company website. They have a release estimate of “late 2009” so IDK. I’ll post pics ASAP
I remember when people we’re selling 416 uppers from Germany on HKforums.com for like $5 grand haha.
If it’s a MR556 the pics should look like this:
Yes, pics would be nice. I can’t see how an MR556 could already be won at a raffle, and I don’t see a 416 being given away as a raffle prize either. However, anything is possible.
Are you SURE it is an AR/M4??? Maybe it’s another Hk of some sort? Maybe it’s not even an Hk? I’m betting it might not even be an Hk, but that’s strictly the gut feeling of course, based on the limited info given…
Maybe he considers an SL-8 an AR? ![]()

I guess know the only real question is would you buy this for a $1000.00?
Personally I wouldn’t buy it. What do you guys think?
Ha well that solves the case of the HK D rifle haha. Nope I wouldn’t pay $1000 for that, I’d rather spend the money on ammo and mags or a lower or something…
Here is a quote from the company off TOS "They work quite well and they are semi or select depending on dept. need. The original Kaiser practically built the US Pacific fleet during WWII, the modern Kaiser has been making 5.56 & 7.62 receivers + other AR parts, FAL parts, pica mounts, and non-lethal weapon systems for some well known Mfg’s. We also make missile nose cones and bodies, retrofit airframe components for aging US fighters, tooling, off-road parts for motorcycles and trucks, anti-sway bars for some well known factory sports cars and an experimental solar array. We only recently began using our trade name for local PD’s rifles then the election happened… now we are in high demand due to our tight tollerences, edm’d magwells and engineering know-how. I can shamelessly say we make the perfect platform for a high end accurized upper. The factory logo means that we actually "make " our own rifles unlike most of the well known brands that are only warehouse’s for assembly of parts and the dissemination of glossy brochures. "
I just want to help a friend make the right choice…ATC
What a humble endorsement. Any chance of getting those pictures downsized from 'satellite visibility?"
Zip
Those lowers are really good quality. What is the upper, or does he know?
