Somehow I doubt that it’s a Hoax. Too much effort.

ETA: The mags are definitely airsoft. I’m going w/ April Fools :frowning:

I sure hope it is not a hoax. This should have been offered to the US market years ago.

If this is real, this is, once again, another failure.

Factory stock doesn’t fit = fail.

If this is real, it will be about as pointless as the 5.7 in the civilian world. Gun designed for AP purposes that is gutless without AP ammo.

Damnit. You’re right. However, the stock hinge shit on the rear is what makes me think it’s legit. An airsoft MFG wouldn’t do that.

Ya but why would they have one pic of the mag loaded up and another one with an airsoft mag? Secondly maybe the factory stock doesn’t fit b/c it IS airsoft and not the real thing. Who knows. But I’m going with hoax for now. Just a pretty elaborate one especially with the DFWMustangs forum posting up with a date of 3/30/14.

TFB frequently uses stock photos that may not represent the actual product being offered.

neat I guess? snowballs chance in hell of me buying one due to cost and not even knowing where to buy 4.6 but I am liking HK’s direction here

maybe a pistol UMP 9 or 45 next?

It is a hoax.

To sell such thing (even on US market) HK must apply for BKA license. They did not - last license on civi market they got is HK243/HK293.

Anyway, AFAIK HK considered civilian MP7 and resigned because of purely economical reasons. It would be niche product, that would need to priced insanely high to cover high cost required to turn MP7 from “weapon of war” into civilian product (German laws) that is importable to USA (US import restrictions).

TFB posts a pic of an airsoft gun about once every 3 days on facebook and says… “Sweet gun, huh?”

It’s painful.

Anyway, how could anyone possibly fall for this… even for a minute.

HK hates having to sell guns to civilians.

No, they don’t. H&K was the only major manufacturer to fight against the Bush '89 import ban, of the manufacturers polled by ATF (I believe) on the sporting - purposes issue. I am on my phone, so I cannot cite at the moment.

They are doubly screwed by the German export laws, as mentioned in an earlier post, and our own import laws. Furthermore, they are not the deep-pocketed industry monolith people believe them to be.

The whole “you suck and we hate you” meme needs to die. If anything, the Glock family/corporate drama should turn people off…

Disclosure: I own 4 Glocks and 4 H&K pistols.

its confirmed to be an april fools joke guys, sorry

Ah well. The PDW is mediocre in its military/police configuration, and even less so in its civilian legal configuration. H&K would be smart not to even offer a civilian version.

hey I would still like to see that UMP pistol hoax or not

Thanks for that emotional roller-coaster that ran out of track while I was on the good part…plummeting me to my death.

HK got incredibly fat off of international government contracts and they don’t know how to interact with the American market… nor do they care.

Civilian demand for their products remains high to this day… why not get serious and start selling guns?

It’s just not business they’ve ever wanted… until very recently now that subguns are dead, no one is buying hammer-fired pistols, and the piston craze fell flat on it’s face.
