H&K 91 bipod?

I’m looking for one, I have seen them priced from $59 to $219. I don’t care if it’s surplus or factory new.

Anyone know of a reputable source? Any new ones being made, maybe Pakistan Ordnance Factories and JLD Enterprises, Inc.? What of their quality?

Thanks…

This guy is good to go on HK parts.

All listed vendors are good to go, IMHO! I have purchased HK type stuff from all, no issues. HK91’s get heavy fast with the bipod. I purchased my bipod from CTD a few years back. Mine was a NIB/NIW Hellanic Arms (Greek Mil Surplus) one. One week to the day exactly, my buddy also ordered one for his 91 clone, his was NIB FMP (Portugal) one…go figure. The German ones will cost a quite a bit more though but if that’s what you want then that’s that! Good luck! :stuck_out_tongue:

If you buy a bipod buy the ALL STEEL NATO version.

Yes it is heavier but you do not want the factory HK bipod with hollow aluminum legs and plastic feet. Contrary to popular myth not everything HK makes is over engineered and of uber quality. In fact these bipods are bigger POS than anything produced by Nornico.

You can usually identify them by the broken off plastic feet that somebody has attempted to reglue on.

Thank you gents, this will get me going in the right direction.

Thanks for the head’s up!

I second that!

Gun Broker is also a good place to find deals on them. Just know what you’re looking for and adhere to the above advice (all steel). When in doubt ask the seller before bidding.

I’ve had a German HK91 for many years and bought a bipod with the gun. It’s all phosphate coated steel with the flared and scalloped leg ends, and it has the spring loaded buttons for folding it into the grooves of the fore-end. What is the aluminum and plastic thing that has been mentioned? A later version?

Some HK bipods have plastic feet pressed into tube steel legs.

The commercial bipod sold by HK, you have the military version.

We are probably talking about the same thing, I simply assumed the tubes were aluminum.

The problem with any plastic feet bipod is they break off very easily.

And I’m also only assuming that they’re steel, but we both agree that they are junk.
