Hay guys I live in NY ya it sucks but the wife will not move. Any how I am putting togher a rifle for her for work and I need a pre ban lower. I cant find any lol.
What should I be looking for PWA COLT BUSHMASTER EAGLE ARMS ETC…
I know I dont want OLYMPIC already went down that road never again.
What else should I consider?

IMO you should get a Colt.
The prices are the lowest they have been in years.
When the ban expired I upgraded mine and all the prebans went to New York.
Colt pre-bans run a premium because of the pony. Also, they are often attached to original guns which are somewhat collectible, so you are paying a premium for that… only to strip it down anyway.
Stripped Colt pre-ban lowers are hard to find. Fully assembled pre-ban Colts are all over the place. After all that money you get the joy of having a non-standard lower with atypical fire control group pins and possibly some wierd front takedown screw that you need to use an adapter to merge the lower to a mil spec upper.
PWA is mil spec and is a prior incarnation of LMT, and are usually found stripped. Bushy lowers should be good to go, ditto Armalite/Eagle.
Guys thanks alot. I know colts are all over but Im trying to avoid the buying a whole gun and stripping it down.
I have a PWA on my LMT piston now and I love it I just cant find another. Bushmaster would be great.
What about colt though what do I need to do to make it work with my dd upper? I have seen a bunch of there old bolt carriers they are all shaved down in the back for some reason?
