One of biggest Polish fashion companies, “Próchnik”, prepared new fashion collection (Autum/Winter 2015) to commemorate 25 years of Polish SOF unit GROM (JW2305). And they made promo clip for this collection. What do you think? Does fashion and guns come together?

I alway thought that in US people are much more pro-Military that in Poland. Actually only recently we getting back to it. Thinking of risks around, remembering veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. I just watched first full feature Polish movie on our part in Wot. This movie is about defense of City Hall in Karbala in 2004, when 40 Polish and 40 Bulgarian soldiers surrounded and cut off kept it from insurgents for 3 days and nights. It is surreal to see our soldiers driving around in Tarpan Honker armored with… plywood panels. But it was a reality. Here is trailer if anyone cares:

Most Americans tend to support the military and quite a few are pro gun. A certain segment isn’t and they have control of the message people see. Think back to Communist Poland if you’re old enough. Most people were not pro Communist, but the folks in charge sure we’re so that is all you saw. No matter where you go it’s the same shit different decade, regime, -ism…
I’m. This is partially why I never was in the military. Did not want to serve as conscript in Peoples Army of Poland. I know what you mean. Small “elite” dictates what is good and what is wrong to “stupid masses”.

Side note- Montrala, I always thought you were stationed in Poland, not actually Polish citizen.
I’m actually half Polish on my father’s side. Grandmother came over to US after WW2- did the whole Siberia/work camp thing during that.
Movie makers managed to avoid too much BHD references. Also trailer is more “action flick” than actual movie. It seems that movie shows well what happens when you send bunch of unprepared, under equipped soldiers to “stabilization mission” that actually is a war. We learned a lot since then and I hope our leaders will not waste it. Actually our new President went to movies first day they screened it and recommended in on Twitter. And he is Supreme Commander.
I’m as Polish as it gets, born and living in Warsaw. You should hear my terrible accent when I speak English. Actually you can, but I will not spoil the fun by providing ling (and no, not on my blog or youtube).

If they were really serious the hostage chick would have drawn on the van during the snatch and lit everyone inside. Would have been great if the guy grabbing her took a couple contact shots and dropped and she just poured rounds into the open door.
