Gun locker dehumiditifier help please

Currently in my gun locker i have 3 damp rid buckets from home depot and one “gold rod dehumidifier” from cabelas but this seems to not be sufficient enough to keep the humidity down. I dont want to run a large dehumidifier cause it draws alot of power, im looking for a great dehumidifier that i can put in my locker. Any suggestions? I cant move my locker somewhere else unfortunately.

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section

I doubt that your locker is sealed well. I know the one I used to use wasn’t. If yours has as many holes, vents, and poorly sealed doors as mine, then you’re essentially trying to dehumidify the entire room your locker is in.

Either invest in a proper safe, or try weather stripping, metal tape, and maybe expanding foam. Once to locker is sealed, I think you’ll see better results.

I had a feeling that may b the issue so ill try that first thank you

If you getting that bad humidity I’d run a dehumidifier in the room your locker is in, along with the goldenrod or add one of the below.

I have the trifecta going:
[ul]
[li]dehumidifier in room where gun and ammo is stored
[/li][li]goldenrod dehumidifier rod inside safe
[/li][li]reusable dessicant (more to test the moisture level in safe than to remove moisture)
[/li][/ul]
