I saw it in person at Pueblo and it is a sweet looking rifle. Lots of room to do a straight arm support of the forend.
As to the question about why Magpul MOE forends are so cool, I think the real key that Magpul and BCM have clued into is that they make rock solid gear with innovative features- but at a reasonable price. Not everything needs to move to a higher price point. Case in point the AFG, if Knights had come out with it, it would have been CNC machined and cost $250. Magpul is basic in making hard core gear out of plastic. In the same vein I think BCM with their 410SS and BFH line of barrels offer performance at a lower price than oh-ah brands.
I see the MOE line as gear that can fit in the budget of LEO depts, and get them more capability and quality than the standard MIl-spec carbine stock and handguards. Duct tape a flashlight to standard handguards or use an integrating fixture on the MOE handguards.

They’re also using photos from our class on the Bravo website for the mid-length MOE handguards.
