Grips for "whittle baby hands"

So if you havent guessed by the title i have girl hands, not like grown woman hands ,i have “whittle baby hands” so im going on a fishing expedition and seeing what other small handed shooters use as a grip. I was going to get the the stark however it appears suited to people with large hands. And the MIAD while adjustable does not have a water proof compartment nor does it line your finger up as well as the stark grip. im thinking either the tangodown or maybe the new troy grip. thoughts? As a point of reference im 5’6 and can still fit in some kids xl clothing even though im an undergrad.:frowning:

what grip do you currently have? standard a2?

I was going to suggest the Troy grip as you had mentioned. Other than that you might look into an A1; unfortunately I don’t believe either of those have waterproof storage. I’m a MIAD user.

The only grip ive ever used was the standard A2 , it worked but im always looking for better.

Magpul has little “core” things for the MIAD I thought. http://store.magpul.com/prod_detail_list/43

Don’t have small hands so wouldnt know about grips. No one ever seems to have problem with plain old A1 one.

The water proof storage isn’t totally necessary as my stock has some but it would be nice, you never know after all.

a2 is one of the smallest ones i have ever used. you might want to check out the Hogue g-10…

Tango Down grip.

I like the Tango Down for that purpose.

That said, using a belt sander to take off the nubbin on the A2 pistol grip is pretty damn comfortable as well (did this with my SCAR-L).

i had a friend who sanded it down and rubberized and put the water proof plug etc on his. he had alot of spare time on his hands…

This.

Troy battle grip is really small.

yep… it’s the thinnest production grip available. it does, however, position the hand farther away from the controls- so if your little girl hands already have trouble accessing the mag release, you’re not gonna like the Battle Grip (what TD calls their grip).

ETA- maybe i spoke too soon… that Troy grip above looks pretty damn skinny.

With small hand you are not going to like Tangodown grip. It gets wider and bolder as goes down.

I got H&K Battle grip. Love the downward angle.

I too have small hands (im only 5’5’') and I find that the battle grip fits me rather well. The Hogue grip and Ergo grip were also both comfortable . I was running the ergo for a while but I got annoyed by the plug constantly falling out, so I switched back to the battle grip.

the ergos are a little too thin.

this thing?

looks like an unholy union between hogue and an A2

no compartment and pricey. but seems to slim in design.

45 dollars for that? It looks like a stippled A1.

OP, what are you hand measurements?

I’ve seen and heard of other people breaking their ergos which was another factor in my switch back to the battle grip
