I’ve been trying to introduce my girlfriend to some classic Action/Adventure movies. We’ve seen a handful that I could think of right off the top of my head, but of course, WE NEED MORE.
My list so far:
There are of course so many good ones from which to choose… I find it hard to imagine “Raiders” not being anything but #1. But that is me.
The Road Warrior needs to be on any guys list and now I can add Fury Road as well. Although the latter isn’t a classic yet I suspect it will be.
Any of the original Indiana Jones movies, particularly Raiders

For something different, try “The Yakuza” (1974) with Robert Mitchum.
And of course there is always “The Seven Samurai” (1954), one of Kurosawa’s greatest films.
Not sure if it has to be a classic, or if you are a fan of Marvel/Superhero Movies, but the 1st and 2nd Captain America (the new ones) has some good action/adventure.
The 2nd one especially has some decent hand-to-hand combat, and overall good story line. Not too bloody or violent either.
Gladiator is one of my favorite movies of all time. The story was good, the filming was great and the soundtrack was awesome. The music in the opening battle scene still gets my blood pumping. The soundtrack throughout the movies is outstanding.
The Professional is one of my favorites that hasn’t been mentioned.
I also enjoy watching Platoon, Bourne, Heat, Serenity, 300, The Great Santini, We Were Soldiers and The Patriot.
