UPS is generally prett good for use, but I understand liking USPS. The main issue is that we cannot make it to the post office (as we have a retail storefront) so your package gets delayed because it is hard to close up the shop.
We used USPS for about a year and while they work great for small items, but suck for anything over 2 pounds. They also rape you on insurance do not give you real time tracking (delivery only confirmation only).
UPS gives us real time tracking, $100 free insurance and cheap rates on heavy items.
USPS Priority mail lost my P-mags I sent back for exchange!!! Since I did not pay additional for delivery confirmation there is nothing they can do, even though the package was sent Priority in one of their boxes! At least with UPS the package can be tracked no matter how you ship it.
I am in a rural area so it does take long to get shipped out. There really is no other option though as there are too many issues with the postal service.
All I needed to hear was that USPS is slower for you. If UPS is slower than we usually like and USPS is even slower, I guess the answer would be to use UPS.
No problems there. It’s this damn BRD and how it causes some of us to act like little girls when wanting and getting new items…
I don’t know if you have ever dealt with rural “contracted” mail carriers, but I would not trust them with a post card let alone a $500 package! They ROUTINELY lose my mail and or deliver $2,500 checks to my neighbors.
