Had a buddy slide down a set of those out the top exhaust boats on a river. Someone burped the throttle while he was standing near the back and landed on those pipes on his back. Slid right off like butter. Had two nasty burns on his back. Could you image hitting the pipes on that crazy little cart.
He was doing 90, says he can go “twice that fast”. Even given that this is likely a bit of “bro-xageration” it’s pretty awesome for a Kart on a lakebed. Looks like it would be “I pissed down my leg a little” level of exhilarating to me.

Propane tank in between the driver and glowing hot exhaust pipes. Looks like a totally safe thing to me.

A little perhaps, but what he has on that thing is a set of fairly simple pulse jets. You may remember a different pulse jet as the power plant for the German V-1 Buzzbomb.
Wonder what the speed rating is for the tires.
