Pat great looking rifle, I noticed the brake/flash hider you put on. Do you like those? I had one…and man let me tell you very very loud and everyone and their mother will know where shot from… if you catch my meaning. Great build though enjoy it.

The Larue lowers are made by SMOS.

Last LaRue lower I saw was marked on the left side of the receiver, toward the upper part of the lower, to the rear of the mag well. I believe it said SMOS with an abbreviated reference to Oregon. But it has been a while.

SMOS did a beautiful job. I have a pre-larue SMOS, and I just don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of the left side of the receiver after Larue started marketing them under the Larue name. It would be a shame if SMOS was not given credit, it’s a real work of art.

Range report. This time with 5 shot groups as I was given a hard time in the past for 3 shot groups. These are all groups fired with 77 grain Sierra Match King Bullets in my reloads. I wanted to try some factory match ammo but none is available in my area.

Does anyone know if SMOS is still making lowers for LaRue? On their site it says they’re no longer making AR15 lowers.

If not, does anyone know who is making the lowers for LaRue.
