We have added a Google Search Tool to the forum to help with the search functionality. It is the “Search Button” located at the top of the screen (between the Calendar and FAQ buttons).
Very nice addition. Thanks for the update.
Excellent!

Great improvement! I can change my sig line now too. :dance3:
Truly, I find this feature very helpful. The only thing with me utilizing it is that it logs me off and I have to Log On every time onto M4C. Unless I simply use the back arrow. Any “fix” for this or is it just my laptop?
I’ve never experienced this. Are you saying you use the Google feature and for some reason it logs you off M4C? Just trying to clarify so that someone can better help you with your issue.
Yes indeed. I wonder if it’s a glitch on my computer or something.
Might be. I just tested it on my computer and had no issues.
Tried it now, and when I do the Search>Google Custom Search>it takes me to the various threads that may contain what I’m searching for. When I click on the link/thread that’s when I notice I’m now logged off of M4C. Minor glitch I’m supposing.
Now that the Google search tool is active, would it be a good idea to remove or disable the original V-Bulletin search feature? I don’t know if this would even be possible.
The reason I ask is because I see new members start threads all the time where they state they searched for something and got no results. They then get told to use the orange search button at the top and their thread is often locked. I know older members should know to use the orange one, but new members wouldn’t know one search feature from the other unless they find this thread, which most of them don’t. Anyway it just seems that it would eliminate some confusion if there was only one search feature.
