I am passing this on for those who may want a 14" Remington 870 rifle sight, parkerized barrel. If you won’t order from botach, just stop reading now. The anti-botach horse has been beat down.
When I checked botach.com last night, the 14" rifle sight barrel was $139.99. I researched the remy part # and it is the correct barrel.
There was another thread started about the barrels elsewhere. I ordered a barrel from them a couple of years back, and it arrived just fine.
Not to start a Botach war, but I have never had problems receiving what I ordered from them as long as I was willing to wait for something to come back into stock. Seems to me most of the problems were with people who “needed it yesterday” and were disappointed after they ordered to find out it was out of stock as Botach’s online order page used to not have real time inventory. Don’t know if it does now or not. In the last couple of months, I ordered some gloves from them via their Ebay store and received them in short order.
Botach’s nonsense went much deeper than that. Not sure how those goofball’s are running these days, but they used to be very bad about charging guys’ cards when stuff wasn’t in stock… and the customer would have to go through hell to get the crap fixed.
I’ll never forget one time I ordered AR 20 round mags, and got G20 10mm glock mags. I sold the Glock mags rather than deal with botach on and exchange/return.
Yep, there were theads about that also, but as I said, I just waited for my orders to come back into stock if the item was OOS. In my case, it never took very long. Not sure about today, but at one time they had hands down the best price on FS M&P mags, which, as a result of the low price, were hard to keep in stock. I didn’t need them yesterday so I just waited, which was no big deal to me. YMMV
Before this continues down the “well my Botach order was so…” path that it now seems to be going, take the info for what it’s worth. A very good price on a desirable SBS barrel. It is not a recommendation to use Botach for anything other than a Remington 14" factory parkerized barrel with rifle sights. If you know anything about these barrels, you know that is almost 1/2 the price of other vendors.
And at a darn good price!
Bought a 14" bead sight factory 870 barrel from them for a I think a buck twenty a few years ago…no problems and a much better quality barrel (smoother chamber) than the factory Express barrel. Surprisingly, this barrel came with a modified choke.
Just thought I would chime in with my experience buying this barrel. Ordered one the same day I saw this post because it’s the best price I have seen since getting my stamp back. Got the ups notification the same day and it was picked up by ups within a few days. Probably 10 days total from order to receive. Not exactly like Amazon prime but still not bad for the price. Arrived in good condition and installed without issue. Haven’t shot it yet but don’t expect any issues. Tempted to buy a spare if they are still in stock in a few weeks, don’t know when the price will be this good again. As long as it’s not time critical I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again. Should also add that it comes in a box that looks factory but honestly wouldn’t know the difference. If someone tells me what to look for in a factory barrel I will gladly post pics.
