What Lower parts kit have u guys have good luck with and prefer over other brands. I already have a Geissele SSA trigger so I really don’t need a Fire control group
Lots of threads on this, but DD or Colt .
Last one I used was from G&R and it seemed better than the others I’ve tried. All the parts seemed to install a lot easier anyway. Unfortunately it appears as if they’re out of stock at the moment…
I second the above. The colt LPK, available at a reasonable price from the above link, is probably the best option around. Pair it with an ALG ACT, and you have an excellent lower setup for just over $100.00. that’s very hard to beat.
What are the detents coated with? Cadmium is the required coating, but 99% do not use it.
The Spikes tactical kits I have used lately have been very nice…better than the Daniel Defense IMO and can be had for under 50 without fire control group
Just built a lower using the above LPK with a Geissele G2S… Flawless
Thanks alot…just ordered everything I needed to build a new lower…I hate you.
Since you already have the FCG why not just get one from PSA?
I assume so, they are gold, and Colt
 We are all bad influences on each other.
Bushmaster has one.
…
Colt…
My most recent was a colt from G and R at $60. Weapon Outfitters has a white oak Armament kit minus FCG for $40. No idea what shipping differences are and YMMV, but IMO it’d be hard to go wrong with either of those.
The G&R does look nicer than a PSA kit. I’d love to try something different after doing a few PSA builds. My DD apears to have the same supplier as PSA for those parts (i.e. functional, nothing overly nice).
The diff. is in the QC. DD>PSA by far.
Sure, but I’d like something better than either for my Noveske build, for example.
Im not quite sure what you two are referring to? As far as I know the only real concern is the FCG in a LPK, but seeing as the OP already had an SSA I don’t think it will make a difference.
The magazine release, the bolt release, etc. The DD and PSA kits are basically the same quality (with a nod to one with better QC). For those of us who want a little nicer kit, its nice to know what’s out there.
