What’s the best equipment out of these brands for the money? I’d like a good cost affordable fitting lower and upper.

are you talking stripped receivers? whatever’s cheap… of those you listed, you’ll find a price spread of over $75, depending where you shop.

and i just shop gunbroker for cheap lowers, or grab them when on sale elsewhere. brand doesn’t matter, just pick the rollmark you like best. i hate animals, myself. stay away from vulcan.
ETA: for future reference, a topic like this should go under “AR General,” not technical. technical discussions involve techniques, specs, etc… technical things.
Sorry about the wrong forum post. Yep I’m talking a stripped upper I’m going to build up myself and a stripped or possibly assembled lower depending on how much money I can save.
I was looking at the one a while back on BCM same as your link but it’s been out of stock for a while. With it not being BCM branded I’m not sure about it. Their factory lowers look good but I don’t see a stripped lower of theirs.
for what it’s worth, i’ve built about 10 uppers off the upper i posted above. they’re perfectly good uppers.
the laser t-marked versions are available right now… only difference is the T-marks are white and anodize-thick, instead of machined into the metal. otherwise identical.
Any of those would be ok for a lower. As for an upper, i’d look elsewhere.
What would you suggest? Something like Colt, LaRue, Daniel Defense, or VLTOR? Besides DD those are a little more than I wanted to spend.
DD is good stuff. Look at LMT or bcm. Also, this topic has been extensively covered, my man. Dig up some old threads and read. The mfgs you listed are generally thought of as sub standard.

Buy a Daniel Defense barrel from BCM and one of their M4 upper receivers. Get an armorer wrench and slap it together. That will cost you roughly 330.00 with barrel nut, slip ring and gas tube. Then you can go from there. I purchased a stripped DD lower from Grant a while back for about 119.00 and it is an excellent lower to use for a build. It also has a nice flared magazine well.
For the stripped upper receivers, bkb0000 suggestion for a bcm m4 flat top is excellent and my choice as well. A ways back, I bought the exact stripped upper as linked above to swap out with a colt a2 from a 6520…finish, fit and price were perfect for my needs:)
Like iraqgunz, I love dd lowers. The flared magwell is nice and (if you’re into cosmetics) the finish is top notch.
I’m gettin’ partial to the DD stuff. The stripped lowers are out of stock most everywhere though. I can wait.
I like LMT but it’s hard to find any of their stuff separate. I did find an LMT upper receiver with bolt group and charging handle for $250. Their complete lower goes for about $325 or so. That’s some bang for the buck.
Yeah, I think the LMT lower w. lmt 2 stager, ambi selector and lmt tube and sopmod for roughly $430 or so might just be the best bang for the buck out there.
I could be wrong, but I don’t believe any of those uppers come standard with M4 feed ramps. I don’t know if you wanted them or not, but I thought I would mention it.
I bought a Daniel Defense upper for something like $114. I don’t know what you were planning on spending, but I didn’t think that was too bad.
I’ve given up on that other junk anyway. It’s either gonna be a Daniel Defense or LMT. Depends really on whether I can find a set at the time.
that you will probably get alot of opinions with, but from my personal experiences, Bravo Company can definitely get you pretty top notch equipment!

I have done many of these exact combo’s especially with Daniel Defense going to the CHF barrels. I have been buying up their closeout barrels and using them in numerous builds. Great Daniel Defense accuracy and I can’t note any accuracy differences in the non and in the CHF barrels. Life expectancy, well I haven’t hit a difference yet. Hate to call it a budget upper as it is top notch IMO but you can do it for a great price. Will outlast 95% of shooters. 
I wish I could find a DD non CHF mid length.
Off topic but if you have a barrel extension with M4 feedramps do you need a receiver also with M4 feedramps?
How about Mega forged uppers and lowers? Bison Armory swears by them.

Mega uppers and lowers are excellent imo. Excellent fit, excellent finish.
