Has anyone seen this OBama’s Preacher ??
wtf??
This is just Malcolm X wannabe tripe. The sad thing is that most of the congregation probably believes it.
Obama’s response is apparently, “Hey I’ve been going there for years and the guy is one of my advisers - but I wasn’t at church on the day that any of the inflammatory sermons were preached.”
Should anyone be surprised that Obama’s buddy is a spouter of profane conspiratorial gibberish? The guy’s wife just said she was proud to be American for the first time in her life a few weeks ago. The big question is, will this deter Obama’s supporters? We are pissed off, but I don’t think any of us were going to support him anyway.
While I hope I am wrong, I don’t see the “America is fundamentally evil and corrupt” lefty types being deterred by this thing. Still, every vote siphoned to Hillary makes us stronger.
“Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely — just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed,” he said.

Uh, no. While I have disagreed with some of my preachers over the years, if the views put out by Wright kept popping up in sermons, I would address it with him and if that failed, I would find another place to worship.
While I disagree strongly with the guy’s half-baked rhetoric, I will give Obama props for not disowning him. What would Clinton do? He was the king of hiring on the biggest freaks around, talking them up like they were the greatest thing ever - then when the bullets started flying, he couldn’t drop them fast enough. So kudos, though I still can’t stand him.
Obama as president frightens me. Wright as one of his advisors frightens me more. I wish this story would have more of an impact on his campaign, but I have a feeling it really won’t make a difference. However, if this story would have broke earlier in the primaries, I think it would have had a greater toll on Obama’s campaign. I do recall hearing about this controversy in Sept./Oct. of 2007, but it did not get emphasized until now. I do have to say that Wright’s sermon’s were fairly offensive and he placed blame where it did not belong. Obama’s first reaction to this was that he was never there when those types of inflamatory remarks were made. Fat Chance on that… His later press release was definitely better than his first. Still, I find more reasons as the days progress to like him even less.
Sorry Barack Obama, READ MY LIPS, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER”
Sorry BROTHER OBAMA, you cannot side step your beleifs, you have been living them by the outward attendance of your CHURCH.
Wright is a blatantly radical, anti-American racist. In my opinion, Obama shares the same views, seeing he chooses to worship there. He can’t now back peddle and say “I never heard those statements”, “I don’t approve of that”, he approved and endorsed it by being part of it.
Made me wanna vomit.
I’ll give it two weeks before its completely out of the news.
Until the general election. It will come back up then.
I grew up in mostly black areas of Brooklyn NYC, and I assure you on all kinds of levels that this type of rhetoric is not remotely unique or unusual.
There are a million “Islamic” sects from the same strain as the Nation of Islam (NOL)
The Baptists splinter groups are not as bad, but close, hence Rev. Wright
Then you have the real fringe Black Hebrew Israelites(BHI) which make the Nation the Islam seem like kittens in comparison
All these groups are heavily rooted in Black liberation theology which is NO DIFFERENT than white supremacy.
Here is the issue: Modern Black Culture and Black liberation theology are very close to being synonymous which is why Barak cannot bear to fully divest. At the same time Black liberation theology is one of the cornerstones of the progressive liberal movement.
So what’s the solution…there isn’t one. No one wants to hear that, but I’ll take anyone’s bet and say everything Black liberation theology subscriber’s bitch about now, will still be their bullet points 100 years from now.
Even worse, Black Americans they are being rendered meaningless and marginalized in elections as Hispanics, Mexicans and Asians outnumber and out-earn them. The libtards will use them until they dont need them
More Frederick Douglas and less Marcus Garvey would go a long way in moving Black Americans into the 21st Century
Well said.
There are some very interesting parallels between black and white supremacy movements, usually involved with half-baked theology like Jesus was black or Jesus was aryan. I didn’r realize how nutty NOI was until i watched an A&E biography on Louis Farrakhan - black scientists circling the globe in flying saucers and such like.
I remember watching coverage of the million man march on the TV in the lobby of my dorm. As I was watching, my next door neighbors, both black and recieving the same college education I was, walked through and commented, “you know they have the steatlh bombers circling up there”.
I think this type of conspiracy thinking is endemic and Obama, in his heart of hearts, buys into it.
How is it possible such masses of people can often believe in such far-fetched bullsh*t? Some of my black friends have said things to me over the years that made me instantly laugh out loud, only then to realize they were dead serious. I suppose it is a residual effect from the syphilis incident and a general fear that whites are still working hard to keep the upper hand. But, some of the scenarios are just absurd no matter how you look at it.
I think it is a victim mentality. While I’m sure injustice is persisiting somewhere in America, I think race realtions have improved, even in my relatively short life time. I think it is part of human nature to at least be tempted to take the easy way out and unfortunately most modern black leaders are part of the entitlement/victim racket. It is the NAACP’s, Sharpton’s etc best interests to keep black people poor and disgruntled. Once they better themselves, an entire industry will run out of money and influence.
The sad thing is that there doesn’t appear to be a happy medium in the current culture - if you’re looking for a leader you have to choose between “it’s all whitey’s fault” types and hatemongers. It’s always easier to point the finger than to face up to a critically broken situation.
I remember Chris Rock saying something like “What do we have for black leaders? Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and now just a bunch of substitute teachers.”
Fortunately, this truth is being exposed more and more in the media (and not just Fox news) now. Maybe that idiot Wright will have done us all a favor by getting more blacks to look at these preachings more closely and see how foolish all this garbage is. Maybe not. Bill Cosby has been trying to talk sense to his fellow blacks for years now, but he has been chastised for it and sadly seems to have relented.
It’s one thing for someone to say the U.S. created AIDS to kill black people and all that crap but to say “God Damn America”
edited: I’ve changed my own statement because they were too harsh and don’t follow my own beliefs. I guess that’s what happens when you become too passionate about a subject.
He was married in that church, his kids were baptized in that church, and he was a member of that church for 20 YEARS.
Kind of explains a LOT of things, including his wife’s comments.
ETA, and in Obama’s speech in Filthydelphia yesterday, he mentioned that the Declaration of Independence was “stained” by slavery.
Seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Forced? How? At gunpoint, say? I think we, as a nation, have enough trouble now without denying anybody their rights under the First Amendment (or any other Amendment), which the Second Amendment guarantees.
Striker5 brings up an interesting point. I was working at an airport in 1966. A fellow employee, whom I will call “Charley X”, was a Black Muslim. Charley delivered of an explanation of certain tenets of their faith one hot afternoon which included the notion that their race came from Saturn on invisible spaceships piloted by seven-year-old boys and that these spaceships could be anywhere at any time and, being invisible by means atoms vibrating faster than the speed of light, we would have no way of knowing. As an article of faith, I didn’t and still don’t see it as any different than any other faith-based beliefs.
I watched 2-3 of those “sermons” - using the term loosely.
Each one sounded like an Al-Qeada video.
They made my head hurt. Oboma’s explanation speech certainly did not make me feel any better. All he did is side-step the worst parts of it and eventually ended up defending this clown. His “The Anger/Hate is Real” comments really made me sick. I guess this really made him show his true colors.
I USED to consider Oboma just a bad idea for America, but now I consider him to be a pure assclown. He also just shot himself in the foot as far as a general election goes. Getting 90% of the African-American vote isn’t going to win him the Presidency.
Is Wright actually Wleft?
Remeber there are sheepol that vote. Sheepol do not have the sense to research who they are voting for. If you just watch commercials, you will understand there are a LOT of sheepol out there, advertising sells.
IE: There must be a LOT of sheepol. He could get elected on that assumption.
There is a very real movement to keep Blacks under-educated, under-fed, and slightly impoverished. Anyone who says otherwise isnt paying attention. Only it isnt “White America”, its the so-called black leaders, NAACP and the liberals who need to keep black people as “victims” to stay in business.
What would happen to the Dim party if every black person woke up tomorrow, and tossed all notions of modern “Black Culture” out the window, and took control of their own lives? There would never be another Democrat president in the White House again.
I wish more Black Americans would wake up and realize this and return to the true culture of Black America which is very traditional, conservative, and pro-gun. But then again, the same thing could be said for White Americans too. Liberalism is a mental disorder that drags everyone down
Edit: I thought Obama’s speech was full of nothing. He made it about race in America instead of dealing with his ties to an Anti-American movement. By making it about race, he’s once again scared the white liberals in the media who for just a second started applying the scrutiny every Pres. Candidate gets. Now its back to the glowing praises and adoration even though he never really addressed a huge weakness in his Armor.
