Who is this class for?
This class is intended as an introductory class for those shooters who are new to the AR platform or who have been shooting for years but have not had formal instruction.

Required Equipment:

[li]Eye and Ear protection
[/li][li]Centerfire Carbine in standard caliber.
[/li][li]Please ask if you are not sure about carbine/caliber
[/li][li]carbines are available for loan
[/li][li]Sling
[/li][li]Ability to carry a single spare magazine on your body. Pouch preferred, pocket acceptable
[/li][li]3 Carbine magazines (to keep the flow of the class moving, do not need to all be carried on-body)
[/li][li]300 rounds of carbine ammunition (we are unlikely to go through all of it but you will have extra to take home to practice what we cover)

Primary Goal:
To familiarize students with range safety, etiquette, commands, and the fundamentals of shooting in a training environment.

Secondary Goal(s):
To provide students with (rough) 100 yard zero.
To review load carriage and other gear selection with students and evaluate current gear as well as provide suggestions for alternatives if necessary.

Understanding of the Four Rules and how they apply to a training environment.
Confidence in ability to safely operate on a typical training range with other shooters.
Rough 100 yard zero on carbine.
Ability to load, unload, and change magazines.
