Glock trigger reset issue

I just put in a Boogetman Excommunicado trigger and I am getting an issue with reset. When I cycle the slide and hold the trigger to the rear the slide will not return to battery. When I release the trigger slide moves forward and then everything will function. If I pull the trigger and release it all is good.

The gun is on a Grey Ghost precision frame, the slide is stock Glock 35 but with an after market barrel that ran fine in the pistol when everything was Glock.

The youtube link shows exaclty what is happening.

I can’t see any thing that looks like it might be causing this.

What trigger spring, recoil spring, and firing pin spring is being used? If they are not in “balance”, weight-wise, it cam cause this.

all springs are stock

It is just the trigger you replaced or the trigger with the trigger bar?r

Trigger and trigger bar.

I just put the old trigger and trigger bar back in and it works fine.

So I have to contact Boogeyman

I was gonna blame the aftermarket parts, but looks like you discovered that already.

I’m kinda put off by aftermarket triggers in handguns at this point. For the few I’ve tried, I’ve had more trouble with them than not. Ghost parts caused my G19 to malfunction, and a Galloway short-stroke trigger turned my dead reliable LC9 into a total shit show of malfunctions…Like to the point that it was unsafe. Put the factory parts back, and they were 100% again.

Hopefully they’ll get you taken care of, or at least give you your money back.

I love the way this trigger looks and feels. Someone I know gave it and the company very high marks.

The only flat trigger I have ever used until now was Overwatch Precision poly Dat I think they call it. This trigger for me in 100% of my Glocks or Glocks I have helped people with has been great.

I hope Boogeyman will get this to work. If not refund my money and I will get a new Overwatch Precision for this gun

I bet an out of spec trigger bar causing an issue with the connector . I would check the height as well to see if it rubbing against the firing pin safety

Pistol parts are tiny. That gives very little room for error. I’ll mod the hell out of a rifle, hell, most of mine are built, but my pistols, especially my ECD guns…I don’t play with them, sights at most.

I had a Ghost connector cause the problem you are describing and was fixed by getting the Ghost bent to more closely mimic the factory one.

Must be some part of the back end of the trigger bar being out of spec…

Slide moves rearward, cam on inside of slide pushes connector inward, trigger bar snaps upward, then catches firing pin lug as slide is returning to battery.

Trigger bar is not snapping upward, methinks.

I also think it is the trigger bar.

I sent Boogeyman an email, and will give them a few days to get back to me to see what they say.

I have to say the Excommunicado is a very cool looking trigger, and with what others have said about Boogeyman quality, I am sure they will get it working or replace it.

Terry of Boogeyman has responded and all is good he will get me a new trigger.

In 2022, that speaks very highly of him.
.
When it comes time to build out my Glock 32, it will have some stuff from Boogeyman

It’s not unusual for Aftermarket parts to make you feel like a trashcan run.

APEX trigger in a G48. Would not always go into battery from the slide lock.

I have since bought trigger shoes and add to my factory trigger bar.

$0.25 trigger job from MrGunsnGear YT videos was the final stroke before BANG BANG, BANG.

OverWatch Precision trigger shoes feel great to my Bang Switch. Factory trigger shoes irritate my trigger finger to beyond pain and agony.

My Glocks that are set up to my taste all but one wear Overwatch triggers and I love them. The only reason I am pimping out this Glock 35 is in anticipation to getting contracts back in Africa.

I have one more Glock to build and that is a Glock 32.

I so hate the stock Glock trigger type that I had to replace the trigger on my B&T TP9 which stock has the glock type trigger with a flat faced trigger .

I went from not being a Glock fan to really being one if you can call my pistols Glock. The only stocj parts are the slide and all it’s bits and a few parts in the frame other wise it is all after market stuff. I really like my 357 sig Glock 35, I have to think of a name for it since it really isn’t a Glock anymore.
