I called Glock to try to get some mags directly.
I was told that standard capacity mags will be LEO only going forward.
As an advanced Glock armorer who has driven to Georgia for all my training at their HQ this is upsetting.
Anyone else told this?

So did they say what mags they will sell to non-LEO (LEO Are civilians too)?
10 rounders like they did during the last AWB. Its not even been brought to the floor of Congress yet for Christ’s sake
I just called Glock to confirm (I’m an armorer too).
They won’t sell mags directly to armorers or civilians. They will sell mags directly to LE.
They are still shipping standard capacity magazines with civilian guns. So no change in that regard.
ETA: You can confirm this with customer service at: 770 - 432 120
Great.
This will turn out being just like the Walmart ammo thing.
They won’t sell you mags…because all of the mags to be made in the foreseeable future are already spoken for and they want to make sure LE can still buy some…gotta keep the big customers happy.
$50 right now says that as long as there is no ban, there will be Glock magazines sold to civilians in the same manner that they are now. And when the panic buying tapers off, you’ll be able to buy from them directly as an armorer/whomever was previously able to.
Anyone an armorer for another manufacturer?
S&W or Sig?
See if you get the same answer.
I bet you do.
I think it is related to demand and the secondary market. Glock holding their prices at MSRP and people buying them out and flipping them on Gunbroker for 3x the price. (Have you seen what they are going for on GB?) If they sold to everyone that wanted them, there won’t be any left for LE.
Of course, nothing keeping LEOs from buying them out and selling on the secondary market too.
I am okay with this. I am getting tired of all my “friends” calling to “check on my back” and asking if I can get them magazines from Glock…
ETA: If the others aren’t restricting it BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY!!! Let me know, I’ll front you 1/2 the money we can buy out all their stock of standard capacity magazines and I’ll sit here and flip them on Gunbroker for you and split the profits. ![]()
But they used to sell to armorers and civilians directly, correct?
To be honest Ive only ordered replacement parts from them
yeah, they said the change in policy was implemented last november. must have been a ton of armorers trying to pig out on mags.
I just called Glock, 1423 EST.
Glock does not sell magazines direct. They have not changed any policies, yet and they don’t know if they will, nothing has been discussed at this time (Those are the exact words used).
Glock will continue to make and distribute standard capacity magazines.
I’m the messenger, so if you have an axe, grind it else where.
Maybe thats the issue? Ive heard from others they buy mags from Glock but maybe they had an FFL. I have my FFL I wonder if I can get them that way, as a company not an individual.
So Glock will still sell standard hi cap mags to the LGS, distributors etc… correct?
yup ![]()
Now of course there’s still the production vs. demand issue…or did they fix that?
