I was in a gun store today doing a transfer on a Grey Ghost Glock 19/32 frame. I picked up a Glock 6 Gen and I will say the grip was better, than the prior 1to4 Gen, but it still wasn’t great in my hand.
I have enough Gen 3 frames slides and barrels I am good with what I have.
I shot a guys 17 a few months ago. Grip feels weird to me because I’m so used to the Gen 4 and 5 right now. I now get why people say the Glock grip is blocky or whatever because the 6 feels very round in comparison.
I picked up a Gen 6 17 on Saturday,swapped out the trigger for the Apex kit. Went cheap on a optic for now with the O-Sight OSIGHT XE AMRS. I’m just waiting for my Forward Controls plate and I’ll mount it up this week and hit the range. Does feel diff from my Gen 5 19X. I’ll let ya know how it goes.
I don’t think Osights will be cheap forever. I believe they’re grabbing market share now and will get more expensive like Holosun did.
I got a couple of Gen 6s a few months ago and I have no complaints. They are becoming my favorite Glock version.
I’m hoping Brazil wants 40 cals so Glock might make a men’s version of the Gen 6.
I hope Glock makes Gen 6 versions of the G20 and G21. I prefer 45acp over .40 cal.
Yea that could be markm,it does seem that Holosun have crept up a bit in price. I could mount the optic with the shitty plastic mounts Glock includes but I don’t want to do it twice. I have a good one coming. I put the Apex trigger in it last night and its pretty nice. If the plate doesn’t show up before the weekend I think I’ll just go shoot it anyway. I’ll keep ya posted. I put the med backstrap on and it feels good,I think I will swap em all around once I get shooting it and see how they feel.
