Slide cover plate is different between the two models. Vickers claims to have tested his G42 SSL in both the 42 and 43 and pronounced it GTG. I wouldn’t bet on it though. The parts are different. (edited: spring is the same).
Yes, Slide cover plate is different. G43s is slightly larger. I messed that section up. It is corrected.
It should have read: “The Slide Cover Plate is slightly larger on the G43. The plates will fit in each slide, but the G43 Plate is taller and does not match up with the inside of the slide on the G42, making reassembly of the slide and frame impossible”.

Brother thanks for doing this, I was one of the early ones to get the 43 and I searched all over to find some of this information out. I ordered and installed a 42 Vickers slide lock for my 43 and I agree that it works but it is not 100 % perfect. I will be ordering the 43 Vickers slide stop when it is released. Also the Pierce mag plug works if anyone is interested.
