Glock breach face question...

Gen4 Glock 26 with about 4,000 rounds of various standard pressure ammo, all factory. Most of it is anemic range fodder…

After cleaning today, I noticed my breach face is somewhat dented or creased where the breach face slams into the top part of the bbl hood that sticks out on the top. Where those 2 areas of metal slam together you can actually see and feel a bit of a dent.

This normal?

Thanks-

Drew

Can you post pics?

I cant. You wouldnt see anything any way. There are no cracks or anything, just noticed it and had a bit of a “wtf” moment…

i’ve got 17,000 rounds through my g19 and there is no deformation fo the breech face whatsoever.

my 26 was around 2500 rounds with no breech face deformation when i sold it.

not sure if what’s going on wiht yours is a big deal…

The OP might want to look at this:

TLG experienced breachface erosion on his Gen 4 17 pistol.

Erosion may lead to a failure…but it varies from slide to slide.

I had my breach face crack and make the slide inoperable. Glock replaced it under warranty.

Thanks fellas-

I did see those posts as I did my research prior to posting. My condition isnt as bad as those photos and the area only seems to be occuring in one area where the slide is slamming into the rear, top edge of the bbl hood.

I will just contact Glock, I am sure they will want to see it.

thanks for the replys-
