Glock 30 vs 30sf

I just put an order in for a new off duty gun a Glock 30. I have then been reading more about the 30sf, anyone with experience with both…am I going to regret going with the 30 vs the 30sf?

I have used both and had the G30sf. I have man sized hands and could have gone either way, but I found a better deal on the sf. If your hands are big then it makes no difference IMHO. Get the LAV mag release, some good sights and you will have a very nice blaster.

i like to think i have big hands…i use the largest back strap for my miad grip as the slimmer ones i find too thin. Looking forward to getting the call that it arrived. I went with stock sights cause I hope to try out some new options

I have and regularly carry a 30SF and am very happy with it. I have limited experience with the standard 29. I found that the shorter grip makes the difference less perceptible than the difference between a 21 and 21SF, however I still prefer the 30SF frame. I do have average sized hands though, so you may prefer the larger frame.

For many years I carried a G30. I had gone to it from a 1911 and liked the gun but did feel the grip was a bit large for my average sized hands. When the G30SF came out I tried it and found the grip to be much better for me… so I traded the G30 in on the G30SF and have been very pleased. I liked the SF grip so much I also got a G21SF. :smiley:

Both the G30 and the G30SF are good choices, it just depends which feels better in your hand.

I compared the 30 & 30sf side by side and did not really see any major difference between the two, ended up with the sf though.

I have medium sized hands and I found the g30sf to fit me better, I could carry and shoot a standard g30 but its not as comfortable.

I have big hands and prefer the regular G30.

i feel like i tend to like larger gripped weapons in general

I am hoping/assuming that the 30 will work out just fine…but I guess I could always trade it out if it didn’t fit me

i will update when it comes in later this week I hope

I have both the 30 and the 30sf, as well as the 21 and 21sf.

It is my opinion that the difference between the 30 and the 30sf isnt nearly as big a deal as it is between the 21 and 21sf.

As long as you dont have tiny hands the 30 should be fine for ya. If you start looking at the full size though, its my opinion that the 21SF is a must.

I recently purchased a G30. My dealer had the G30 and G30SF and I could not tell much of a difference when handling them. They were the same price and I went with the standard model.
