I just received my holster in the mail a few days ago. I’m always shocked at the paucity of holster pictures ACTUALLY ON HUMAN BEINGS. I thought I’d post a few. Sorry for the dirty mirror I’m 6’2, 194lbs and this is an XL shirt just for reference. This is an insanely comfortable combo, both in movement and while driving. Retention and workmanship are both excellent. This is the horsehide model.
The ST is the most comfortable holster I’ve worn for my G19. It is the most concealable of the holster options I’ve tried as well. The down side is that no matter what I try, I can’t keep the thing quiet. I’ve tried every trick I can find out there and no matter what the creaking comes back. Mine is the horsehide as well. Hopefully you have better luck with yours from the noise standpoint.
I had the same problem. I’ve had a few of the holsters for Beretta’s/HK’s. They are absolutely about as comfortable as it can get for such a thin holster, but very single one I had squeaked. Best luck I had was to take it apart and use teflon dry film behind everything. Worked for a long time. Eventually went to appendix carry however.
I agree with OP when he says he forgets it even there while driving. I’ve done multiple 10+ hour trips with mine on and didn’t even think twice about the gun being there. This is even with driving a 335i with sport seats.
I’ve got the black cowhide. It creaks too. Xdsc 9. There’s a thread on here with some good suggestions on helping with that. Staying on track with the op, mines very comfortable as well, although while driving I know it’s there.
I carry my HKP30 with a supertuck in the 8 o clock position and its pretty darn comfortable in a honda accord and that’s with sandpaper stipling. That said it took me quite a while to find the best position to carry comfortably in all positions and still have a good draw. I want to increase the retention on the kydex, but haven’t made the time to take a blow dryer to it yet.
