Lot’s of people die from old age every day. Hell, lots of young people die everyday. As we saw today, Roberts has the jump left gene of other GOP nominees. There are different types of “pancreatic cancer”. The survival rate for a 1cm islet cell tumor in the body of the pancreas is pretty high. That’s not the specific kind of tumor that gives pancreatic cancer such a bad name.
I’m more impressed with her proclivity for cancer. Colon cancer at an advanced enough stage to require chemotherapy and radiation, then some kind of pancreatic malignancy 10 years later, now 10 years again down the road and lung cancer…that’s pretty much pushing the odds just having them, let alone surviving them. I’ll be interested to see if these malignant lung nodules are primary to the lung or metastatic from some other cancer somewhere else. Two nodules are suspicious.
I always thought pancreatic cancer was doom. Thanks for the input. And yeah, I was wondering if mets was involved with any of these malignancies. My grandfather had three different cancers: prostate (which I likely inherited), bladder, and laryngeal. He spent the last couple of years of his life with a stoma. Always wondered if any of those carcinomas had lodged somewhere else.
I don’t wish her dead, but I wish she’d GTFO and retire. But as long as Trump is in the White House she won’t…unless Mother Nature has other ideas.
We need to do away with appointments for life. If you can’t competently drive a car to your place of employment, or stay awake on the job, then you should have to retire like everyone else. The idea that feeble minded people who barely understand what it going on and who have lived in a political bubble most of their lives get to decide the fate of the rest of the country is offensive and absurd.
When the system was put in place the average life expectancy was less than 50 years. Actually less than 40 I think. They never expected people to live 80+ years. I doubt they ever envisioned a time when people lived this long, so term limits didnt’ make a lot of sense.
Yeah well I still don’t comprehend why someone 80+ yo would want to be part of the government, or working (yeah, I’m using that term loosely) at all by that age? There has got to be a point were hanging it up and chillin’ sounds better than the daily grind.
Agreed. I was just talking of why we have lifetime appointments. It means something very different now than it did then.
I know we hate when the Libs say something like that. But in this case it really applies.
Imagine what would happen if we get some kind of medical treatment that allows us to double or triple our current lifespan. You could have people serving in these positions for literally hundreds of years.
