So I watched the youtube video, popped the trigger in my 17s, everything functions except the safety. I can’t get this thing to flip to safe no matter what I’ve tried so far, the only way it will rotate to safe is if I pop the safety in at a different angle that wont let me seat it completely in the gun.
Has anyone else had this issue? On a side note the break is great and I have a great feeling about it; can’t wait to take it to the range!
Considering the rigid spec’s GA triggers incorporate, and then the total lack of rigid spec’s in the majority of selectors made results in the problem almost never lying with the trigger…, but rather almost always the problem can be found in a slightly outta spec selector. No offense but this is so true on the Scar guns with that monstrosity of a selector design.
It would be an easy fix if you could run AR selectors…buy a BAD-A.S.S. that’s tailor made for GA triggers or buy a dozen cheapy’s until one clears properly. I have never even handled a SCAR selector however I would assume w. a bit of restraint, common sense…one could remove an ever slight amt. of material on the selector until you get clearance and functionality checks out.
If you got a few extra SCAR selectors I would bet heavily one would clear properly.
Found the problem myself today through trial and error, ended up that the pistol grip screw was bumping against the selector after the trigger was installed for some reason, ground it down and everything was good to go.
