Got this posted on another board, but thought I’d see what you guys thought on the matter. I’m hunting for a quick release mount and was wondering if the GG&G Accucam is as repeatable as a Larue or American Defense quick detach mount? If anyone has any first hand knowledge of the GG&G mount, I’d like to hear about it.
I prefer ADM’s design as it is easily adjustable, and non-maring. They got it right with the clamping action.
That was one thing I wasn’t aware of and found out about after a little searching around. The GG&G unit does have the same clamping action as the ADM mounts, so I’m thinking that price might be the only factor. Oh, the ADM rings are sideways, whereas the Accucam rings are oriented like regular scope rings. Not really sure if that makes much of a difference though?
