Gen 3 glock 19 slide on G17 frame with locking block changes...

I understand that the locking block is different between a G17 and a G19.

If I had a gen 3 g17 frame can I change the locking block out to a G19 locking block and then put a G19 slide and barrel on it?

I specify gen 3 because that is what I have parts for and because ENDO tactical’s brace adapter is only available for Gen 3 so far.

If/when ENDO tacitcal makes an adapter for Gen 4 then a G45 would probably solve this issue though I still prefer the gen 3 series.

I thought I read or heard something to the idea of G17 Gen 5 has the same locking block as the G19. Money savings thing.
I may have been dreaming this all up.

The frame will be longer than the slide, unless you dremel / etc it off.
