Geissele pins walking out EDIT:Geissele CS rocks!

So i last week in installed a Geissele SSA in my LMT lower, and after only 20 rounds my hammer pin is walking out.
Since i bought this trigger second hand i wonder if the pins are genuine Geissele. The hammer pin only has one cut in the middle, and the trigger pin only has one cut on the very end.

Not gessiele pins.

Geissele pins are the same color as the trigger, not parkerized, and are concave on the end.

All of my Geissele pins have a groov in the middle and on one end for both trigger and hammer. I had recently lost a set of pins during a rebuild and i contacted Geissele and they sent me a set of new pins in less then a week. They have Great C.S.!

All of the Geissele triggers I’ve seen, and own, have dimples on the ends of the pins. I’m no expert but tose don’t look like Geissele pins to me.

These are geissele pins

This. I’ve got 5 Geissele triggers and all pins are like that with dimples.

I don’t think they’re original pins either. As others have noted, mine are dimpled on the ends, and each pin has two grooves, one in the middle and one toward the end.

I suggest contacting Geissele to get a legitimate set of pins.

Thats why I love this site. Less than an hour up on site and the solution has been found.

I just sent an email to Geissele asking if I can buy some pins.

Thanks everyone for the fast response.

Either the trigger is a knock off, or the person who sold it to you didn’t realize that you should be using the original pins. In any case they don’t look legit to me either.

Glad to hear you emailed Geissele already. I’m sure you’ll hear from them on Monday. Knowing how cool Bill and his crew are, they probably won’t even charge you for them. Their customer service just plain rocks.

I own 3 GA triggers and have installed 6 now. I agree with those above. Bill is good people and he will get you squared away.

Info is already posted about getting the correct pins. Also, ensure that the hammer spring is installed so that the spring legs come from the underside and rest in the grooves on top of the trigger pin.

eta…disregard. I now see OP had a trigger pin issue, not the hammer pin.

standard hammer pins are held in by the j-spring in the hammer.

I don’t know anything about the Geissele trigger, but I’d see if the hammer has the j-spring in it.

Bingo.

We had a guy today in a class who had a same problem, with pin walking out of his LMT lower , He was also using a geissele trigger.

Bill Geissele will get you squared away. I had a minor issue with one of my triggers and he took care of my issue very quickly. Shoot him an email. Those are definitely not Geissele trigger pins.

Uh, who sold you this trigger. Sending you regular pins with a geissele trigger is not cool.

Yep, and Giessele pins are tighter than shit too because they tend to be a thousandth bigger.

Hopefully Bill can help me get some new pins.

Yeah ill never go back to that particular shop, no wonder the price was good.

I received an email from Geissele this morning, they are sending me out a new set of pins.

Kudos to Geissele for running a top notch outfit.
