Geissele G2S or ALG ACT

Sorry if this has been asked I searched, but couldn’t find what I was really looking for.

I have standard mil spec triggers in my colt LE6920 and my new build. I am upgrading my triggers and was interested in the 2 as stated above. Other than price and one being 2 stage which would be the better choice. Again I’ve never had a 2 stage so I don’t know what I’m missing. I guess I’m just looking for people that have tried one or the other or both and what their thoughts are…

Both triggers will be applicable to hard use, but besides that they are two totally different triggers.

If you looking for some “wow” effect when you pull the trigger, most definitely go with the G2S.

I have some proto models of the G2S…formally known as the S2S, and they are some of my favorite triggers.

I also have a proto ALG ACT trigger that has been in use since they came out, and don’t have anything bad at all to report about it.

Personally speaking, skip both and get the finest triggers made…the SD line up, specifically in your case the SD-C.

I’d get the ALG, seems like too much time is spent worrying about upgrading triggers

Trident is correct. If you can afford the G2S, JUST BUY IT.

(It’s already common knowledge on this forum that a part cannot makeup for a lack of training/skill/discipline on the part of the shooter.)

As Trident82 said they are two totally different triggers. The ALG is an improved mil spec trigger. Nothing more.

The G2S is a two stage trigger with a nice clean break that can come in handy for longer precision shots.

The G2S was the first upgrade I made to my Centurion middy build. I quickly bought an SD-E for my N6. Its been pretty much Geissele for all my rifles since then. They are great triggers and worth the money in my opinion.
