Submitted 3 back in April/May (not my first rodeo), checks got cashed within 3 weeks. Nothin’ since. This sucks. I figured I be seein them before Turkey Day.
When should I start worrying?
Did it ever occur to you to contact NFA branch and ask them?
A call to NFA Branch will get answered by a nice lady who will ask you your serial number and she can update you on its status.
Thanks, yeah. That’s what I meant by worrying. I usually put these things out of mind, but with recent events, I’m starting to get a little antsy.
Looking at the official times thread, things seem to be flowing along nicely. Hopefully mine are soon to be in my hands.

After 5 months I called every two weeks…during one call I ended up with my examiner on the phone…he processed it while I was on the phone…
And told me it would be about two weeks before I receieved it in the mail…
Gentleman said “end of next month, possibly into Feb.”
Ugh. At least they’re progressing as normal - no issues.
Wow! 10 months??!! In 098 and 09 my SBRs took three months. I just sent off a form 4 on a can at the end of September. Sheesh At least I was expecting a six month wait from what I had heard. Looks like I’ll be waiting even longer!! Oh well. Could be worse.
My can never made it to my local dealer. Called the gentlemen I purchased from and we have contacted the ATF about the issue. It was ordered and paid for in February. Waiting to hear back about WTF is going on.
What state you in? Different examiners work at different speed. I am in GA and I have 2 july pending and one is already approved. My other one is next! Suppose to hear from my dealer anytime now!
SBR July 9 (approved 9/4)
M4-2000 July 25 (still waiting)
I literally only 2 weeks away from my SBR and m4-2000 but my SBR got approved earlier. I’m suppose to hear about my m4-2000 but nothing yet. I called last friday and “still pending”. Wouldn’t be surprised if its approved today. Maybe dealer will call me sometime this week!

are those averaged wait times by examiner or just order of area?
Dudash eh? If I’m not mistaken she approving around 6 months door to door. No the roman numbers mean nothing. Honestly alot of people freaked out and buy SBR and some even registering because of paranoid. Things will be a little back logged like everything else but rumors are they just got 9 more examiners making a total of 30 examiners including assistant. It won’t show any improvement anytime soon but just expect 6 months minimum for a form. Hard to say. I had a July 9 pending that was approved 6 months door to door. I have a July 25 and its pass 6 months door to door slightly so really its up and down depending on the week.

Im assuming Step 1 is cashing your check… so yours must be on the bottom of a big pile
It’s fine. Just another 556-212 surefire for when my current one finally gives out. Two is one, etc 
If you look closely those numbers are seeming to correspond to a region.
Region I would be Sandra Snook
Region II Ann Feltner
etc… etc…
If you check NFAtracker.com, you can see the various processing times for the various examiners. Looks like Nicole Dudash is averaging about 183 days forms sent > stamp received over the last 6 months.
