new to ARs. read somewhere on here that the gas port erodes over time due to the hot gases in the DI system. how much of an issue is this?
- is it the gas port in the barrel that erodes?
- is there a general round count where this starts to become an issue?
- erosion concern with a gas piston system?
do colts, noveskes and LMTs all use the same gas port size? saw a recent post that LMTs use a “small” gas port. no idea how small “small” is.
