Gas Piston Rifle Question?

I have read post about how different gas system lengths affect the reliability and recoil action of normal ARs. I was wondering if gas piston rifles come in different gas system lengths and do the different lengths affect gas piston rifles the same as with normal ARs?

No it doesn’t effect reliability at all. There very reliable. Recoil is subjective though, but I find 5.56’s don’t have much recoil either way. The recoil just feels a little different in how it pushes with my POF, but it’s still not more, just different feeling.
A gas piston AR functions very differently than a DI does and even those that like to overlook the other pluses on a piston action like staying lubricated much longer,(and running on grease very well) running much cleaner and cooler atleast recommend them being very worthwhile for short SBR’d, supressed and fullauto AR’s.
To me there just a better running action and worth it either way. Especially since they really don’t cost that much or any more depending on which versions you compare.
Since many guys like more expensive DI’s like Colt’s, LMT’s and Noveske’s, there really not at all.
