So you are going to remove a fixed front sight, the strongest and most secure gas block, so you can use a cheap, junk red dot sight? You would be much better off saving the money you want to spend on a DD Omega rail and MBUS sights, and using it to purchase a better sight such as an Aimpoint ML2. A quality weapon sight will go much further toward your ability to hit your target than expensive quad rails.

Be ye a troll or not, you won’t see the FSB through the scope. Most scopes. Leave the FSB alone. Save yourself some $$ and aggravation. Mount your scope and try it out.
If you want to run your red dot, invest in a an affordable riser (YHM comes to mind) so you can at least use it. Better yet, put that optic on a .22 of your choice, buy a decent rear sight, and learn to shoot your irons.

It’s fine… but to properly install it, you’ll have to send your barrel out to have it dimpled or, as Mr. S said, have the gb pinned (which would be the better option). You’re going about things wrong. Dude, we are trying to help you. We love you. That sight will not hold zero. Return it then buy a rear magpul mbus. Leave your front sight alone. Once you appropriately mount a respectable optic, you won’t even see the fsb… it’s kinda magical… but… not really.
But you still have your sense of humor. Rob, while I don’t know you personally, I am very glad you are who you are. The world is a better place.
If you take your fsb off and put that gb on, what are you gonna do if your sight takes a dump on you? (which I expect it will…) you’ll be left sight-less.
All that work is like stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime.
Get a detachable Carry handle or a good BUIS and save your milk money and buy a quality red dot site.
