Gabby Giffords Dog has killed more than my guns

Mark Kelly’s daughter really, and I guess by Browning Citori isn’t with out bird blood on its conscience - but when have actual facts gotten in the way to a debate over guns.

Isn’t there like huge fines for messing with marine mammals?

Whenever I want a dog to let go of something, I pull its tail- directly connected to the jaw you see

All I can picture in my mind is that scene from 'Full Metal Jacket" where Gunny is screaming at Matthew Bodine about not jumping on and beating the crap out of Pyle for being in the head afterhours.

Shit happens.

The mentally deficient will somehow relate this to the Giffords’ misguided gun control effort.

the black cloud over him is so big, you can see it from space.

QFT. Similar tactics are used by the anti-gun lobby.

Some how I doubt there will be an out cry from their ilk to ban assault dogs with high capacity teeth. :sarcastic:

Sweet Justice, nice to see that asshole get bad publicity.

If you’re saying it’s wrong to call for the banning of dogs, I agree.

If you’re saying it’s poor form to facetiously call for the banning of dogs to lampoon his gun control mindset, I wholeheartedly disagree!

Have you seen some of the misleading headlines on this? They’re acting like Kelly was a courageous hero in the face of a horrific, yet unrelated dog attack. That is, until you get 2/3rds of the way into the article to discover the dog is a member of HIS family!

These are actually scrubbed headlines that you can find now. A Yahoo search earlier in the day led to much more misleading headlines, some even mentioning how distressing it was for the family to be exposed to this event. Again, most of them didn’t even mention that it was their dog until near the end of the articles. :frowning:

if this attack happened with a known pro 2a conservative the news would be much harder on the owners family and prove how they do not care about life and even have animals that attack !!

it is related in the sense that accidents happen !

simple have him put down his dog since he seems to think he can take away peoples rights to own guns as they MIGHT go berserk !

OK buddy your kids dog went berserk so put the dog down !
and say how this is the right thing to do !!!
in California have to think they are protected ? yet nothing will happen

I just say its a accident but the fact is again if it was a pro 2a dog it would be a dif story !
and again he should realize some things are not in your control at all !!!

Just a lighthearted attempt to be humorous. A little tie back to Ted Kennedy’s car.

I have think killing a baby seal is bad mojo, unless you are part Indian like Elizabeth Warren

I’d get rid of that dog before I have to finance my attorney a new club membership…

Yawn.

Is this really a big deal?

Are these creatures endangered?

Its not like the dog shredded a bald eagle…is it?

It is when the owners of the dog are doing everything in their power to prevent you and I from having big scary baby killing “assault rifles” and maximum kill factor “hich capacity ammunition clips”.

Oh I know all about Kelley and his elitist antics. I am glad he dot denied that AR purchase in AZ.

However the dog belongs to his daughter and I am not sure how involved she (or the dog) is in this fight.

Also…I am pretty sure the seal is protected an it is against the law for humans to harm them but what about a dog? Isn’t that type of predatory activity what dogs do naturally?

-brickboy240

Ah hah, gottcha. Hell if I know. I just find the whole damn thing humorous considering.

Loved the idiot who recommended taking the dog out in the ocean to “drown it and it will let go.”

Dogs aren’t people. They see something they think they can chase, kill or eat and they will. If they think something is threatening their masters they will also attack. And Bulldogs are especially hard to get to let go in most cases.

I don’t think much of Mark politically but he intervened and was eventually successful. That is about all anyone could do in a situation like that. Also sea lions attack and eat things when they are old enough. A mature sea lion could have just as easily attacked this dog.

This is so much ado about nothing that only people in CA would think it’s news.

I hadn’t heard that he got denied the AR purchase.

Are these creatures endangered?
No, they are not endangered, but they are protected by the Marine Species Act. I’m willing to bet as this becomes more public, Kelly’s daugther will be facing some sort of fine for losing control of her dog and allowing it to kill the sea lion pup. I’m just glad it wasn’t some little kid it decided to munch.

Ask a fisherman what happens if they accidentally kill one.

I bet he gets a pass because of his wife.

This is what happens when you own an unregistered assault dog…it probably had high capacity canine teeth too. Heck, I bet you could walk into any breeder’s place and buy one without a waiting period or extensive background check…

Lesson Begins:

Bulldog=Criminal
Sea Lion pup = unarmed defenseless civilian
Mark Kelly = Law Enforcement; too little too late…

Lesson ends.
